This study was conducted in order to examine music therapy trends in the COVID-19 outbreak and the tasks of music therapy in preparation for the post-corona era. As a result of analyzing the employment status of therapists for the 260 responses collected, 75 music therapists had retired due to the COVID-19, of which 26 music therapists no longer had any job related to music therapy at the time of the survey. Therefore, the results of the 234 cases, excluding the 26 respondents who reported not currently doing music therapy work, are as follows. First, a decrease in the therapist's working hours and income was reported in all areas of music therapy, and it was found that the therapists who worked for the elderly and patients were particularly influenced. Second, it was found that music therapists were actively coping with the COVID-19, such as disinfection, but on the other hand, seeking to change the method of music therapy intervention or, in particular, attempts to provide non-face-to-face music therapy services were confirmed to be passive. Third, it was found that music therapists expect multifaceted help from the music therapy community for this crisis brought by the COVID-19 outbreak. Fourth, in order to prepare for the post-corona era, music therapists reported that not only they should recognize the need for non-face-to-face intervention, but also personal efforts should be carried out. Lastly, music therapists expected that there would be many changes in the area of music therapy in the post-corona era, and in particular, clients without disability were expected to become the main targets for music therapy. The results of this study helped to understand the current situation and response of music therapists in the Corona 19 crisis, and provided important information to support music therapists in the crisis and prepare for the post-corona era.
